Frequently asked questions

What is the basic practice flow?

Add a video, then mark the range you want with A and B points. Set speed, repetitions, a countdown, rest between loops, mirroring, and other options before starting. You can save ranges and practice setups you use often.

My video will not import

Check that the device has enough free space and that the full video is available. On iPhone and iPad, choose it from the system photo picker. On Mac, use the file picker or Finder. Unsupported or damaged files may not load.

An iCloud video takes a long time to load

If the video is not on your device, Photos must retrieve it from iCloud before handing it to Eightmo. The time depends on your connection and the video size. Make sure the video plays in Photos, then select it in Eightmo again.

What should I do while import is waiting?

Keep the device connected and leave Eightmo open while Photos prepares the video. If it does not progress for a long time, cancel, check free space and the video in Photos, then retry.

There is no sound, or I want sound in Silent Mode

Check the video volume, device volume, and selected output. On iPhone and iPad, Eightmo has an option for playback in Silent Mode. Countdown cues can be changed in practice settings.

Audio is delayed over Bluetooth

Bluetooth equipment can add latency. For timing-sensitive checks, try the device speaker or a wired output. Eightmo uses the audio output selected by the operating system.

How do ranges and speed work?

Set A and B points around the part you need and save it as a range if useful. Adjust speed for each practice, and combine it with repetitions, countdown, and rest to build up gradually.

What is a saved practice?

It is a named combination of a target range and conditions such as speed, repetitions, countdown, rest, and mirroring. You can edit it later in the standard practice screen. Saved practices do not sync automatically between iPhone / iPad and Mac.

Can I delete videos or history?

Data Management in Settings can delete data for a specific video, all history, or all local data. Deleting one video removes that Eightmo copy, its ranges, and saved practices while leaving history. Deleting all local data also removes history and the previous-session state.

Does deletion in Eightmo remove my original video?

No. The original in Photos or the original Mac file is not changed or deleted. Only the copy and related data stored by Eightmo are removed.

How much free space do I need?

Eightmo copies a selected video into the app’s storage, so you need free space appropriate to the file size. Data Management shows the storage currently used by Eightmo.

What happens if I delete the app?

When the operating system deletes an app and its data, Eightmo’s local data is normally deleted too. App offloading, backups, and restore operations may preserve data. For a deliberate removal, use Delete All Local Data inside Eightmo first.
